Do I Have To Get Veneers for all my Teeth?
Whiter and straightened teeth are most of people’s dream!
That’s why, more and more, people turn to aesthetic procedures in dentistry, looking for that perfect smile – or at least as close to it as possible. Dental veneers are a great resource to help achieve this result, and may be the ideal solution for you.
But with so many myths spread about the technique, it’s good to know what’s true or not, and the Cosmetic Dentist Cristian Dunker is here to clarify.
In this video, Dr Cristian Dunker answers if it is necessary to put veneers on all teeth or if it is possible to put veneers on only some teeth.
Veneers are an excellent way to improve your smile. These thin pieces of porcelain can conceal many different cosmetic concerns, including discolouration, misalignment, and damage
While some people place veneers on all their teeth, this is not always necessary. In some cases, veneers are only needed for one or two teeth. Not all of your teeth will need porcelain veneers in order to achieve great results. The right approach will depend on your needs and budget.
Digital planning is essential to know the number of veneers indicated for each patient, and the number necessary for a satisfactory result can vary.
Is It possible to put veneers on only some teeth?
The number of veneers needed for your treatment will depend on the goals you want to achieve.
Only one veneer can be placed when correcting a tooth that has been chipped, cracked or discolored. However, if you want to upgrade your entire smile, start by considering veneers for at least six or eight of your upper front teeth.
These teeth are the most visible when you speak and smile. Improving your appearance with veneers can make a big difference. It’s no surprise that maxillary front teeth are most commonly chosen for veneering.
It’s also worth noting that an even number of veneers is best. Placing an even number of facets often creates the most symmetrical and natural results. Because of this, you may be advised to do two, four, six, eight, ten or twelve fillings.
Are veneers the right choice?
Now that you know what to expect with porcelain veneers, you can determine if they are the right choice for you. If they are, contact a dentist.
